Julian advises (inter)national energy suppliers, plant operators, banks and investors, companies within the energy-intensive industry and the real estate industry on legal issues regarding energy. In addition to classical energy regulation laws and renewable energies, he focusses on energy efficiency law and the support of decentralised and urban energy concepts.
He specialises in advising on public law issues, in particular in assisting project developers with the planning and approval of complex infrastructure projects as well as in planning and approval procedures under construction and environmental laws. He further focusses on advising companies in the real estate industry with regard to public law. Dr. Nebel is recommended as a leading lawyer for environmental and planning law (Who’s Who Legal Germany (2018)).
Julian lectures on energy law at Berlin’s Humboldt University.
