Mrs. Dr. Tina Ines Schmidt works as a lawyer at BRAHMS NEBEL & KOLLEGEN Rechtsanwälte in Berlin.
Between September 2021 and September 2022
she worked as a legal officer in the Federal Ministry for Digital Affairs and Transport. There she was involved, among other things, in legislative projects.
Between November 2018 and August 2021
Mrs. Dr. Schmidt incorporated her expertise into the internationally oriented law firm Linklaters in Berlin. Here she advised her clients on power grid expansion projects, especially on planning and approval procedures for onshore high-voltage transmission lines. Accompanied by Dr. Schmidt also procedures for public participation in the projects and defended them before the Federal Administrative Court.
In addition, Dr. Schmidt comprehensively on topics of environmental and approval law in the project planning or development and the acquisition of onshore wind energy systems (especially repowering) as well as large photovoltaic free-field systems. For offshore wind turbines and the corresponding offshore cable connection lines, she was also responsible for the areas of approval and environmental law, including answering questions under international law.
Between May 2015 and October 2018
Mrs. Dr. After was passing the second state examination, Schmidt worked as a lawyer at the law firm Luther Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH in Berlin in the area of environment, planning and regulation. Here she advised in particular on urban development projects in Berlin with regard to (construction) planning law and public building law. In addition, her advice included legal issues relating to the approval procedures for large infrastructure and industrial projects, in particular with regard to aspects of immission control.
During her legal work during this time, Dr. Schmidt part-time at the European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder) on issues of international maritime law and administrative law.
Between November 2011 or March 2013 and November 2014
Dr. Schmidt completed her legal clerkship at the higher regional court in Frankfurt am Main and at the higher regional court in Berlin, including positions in the Federal Chancellery and the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and in a law firm in Berlin specializing in energy law.
Between March 2012 and February 2013
Mrs. Dr. Schmidt worked as a research assistant at the law firm Noerr LLP in Berlin in the Regulatory and Governmental Affairs department, primarily in the area of energy law.
